Safety is a key priority for Renault so it is not surprising that, across the range, Renault cars have scored top marks in the EuroNCAP safety tests, carried out on each class of vehicle.

New Laguna is now the ninth Renault to be awarded the top 5 star adult occupancy score and follows Clio, Modus, Mégane, Scenic and Espace. With nine cars earning this top score, it's more than any other manufacturer.

Renault commits 100 million euros per year and a staff of 600 to safety-related research and development.

Renault is at the forefront in safety innovations such as "sleep safe" head restraint for rear-seat child passengers, reducing the risk of whiplash and other injury.

All Renault cars across the range are fitted with Isofix child-seat fixing points.
